Spice That's Nice

Saturday evening, Jan Schindler and Keith Theriot will be feted with a reception at Gallery Q at The Center, 946 N. Mills Ave. Both artists are Louisiana expatriates, hence the show title, "Gumbo Ya Ya." They describe their paintings as expressionistic and figurative. Their collaborative brew results in some spicy eye gumbo (operative word here being "spicy," as some of the figurative works are erotic), which has been seen in New York, New Orleans and any other place with "New" as part of the name.
